Built for Tough Terrain and Impact Resistance The Erebus Offroad Heavy Duty Hanging Magnet is built to work in the toughest terrains. It features protective steel outriggers with 4×4" plastic wheels that protect the clean off sleeve and magnet housing from oncoming terrain. The magnet housing is also protected by the aluminum clean off sleeve which won’t crush or deform from the pressure of collected debris and can withstand heavy impacts and abrasions from ground strikes. 10.5" x 3.25" Carlisle flat free wheels on both ends of the magnet roll on custom 5/8" UHMW bushing that can withstand impacts better than typical ball bearings. These bump wheels are only meant to touch down when traversing over changing terrain, so the aluminum sleeve and magnet housing don’t hit the ground while sweeping. The permanently charged C8 ceramic magnet in the Erebus Offroad Heavy Duty Hanging Magnet can pick up a 2.5" inch 8 penny nail from 8.25" inches off the ground. This provides plenty of pickup power when operating at a sweeping height that prevents ground strikes while still effectively collecting stray metal.
